SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Feb 14, 2012 : Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI) has announced that Andrew "Andy" Miller has joined its board of directors.
Miller brings more than 28 years of experience in leading and growing innovative companies to the board of Bridgepoint Education. He currently serves as the president and chief executive officer of Polycom, Inc., the global leader in standards-based unified communications (UC) and a provider of video collaboration, voice and infrastructure solutions. Since joining Polycom in July 2009, Miller has helped the Company grow to $1.5 billion in annual revenue. One of Polycom’s largest vertical markets is education, with hundreds of leading schools, colleges, and universities around the world using Polycom to improve all facets of education, from teaching and course development to administrative meetings and advanced blended learning applications.
Previously, Miller was chief executive officer of Tandberg, a video solutions provider. He also held several leadership roles at Cisco Systems, including vice president, U.S. Area Sales (West) and vice president, Marketing (Customer Advocacy).

Miller was formerly chairperson of the Young Presidents' Organization/Stanford Executive Education Program; on the Penn State Smeal School of Business, Board of Visitors; a member of the Society of Fellows at the Aspen Institute; and guest lecturer at the Moore Business School at USC. Miller earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina.
