With the models DT 790 and DT 797 German audio specialist beyerdynamic presented two new professional headsets for broadcast applications where high isolation of ambient noise, durability, and wearing comfort are of prime importance.
The new headsets are the perfect composition of the closed reference studio headphone DT 770 PRO, a new pivoting gooseneck microphone boom, and first-class microphone capsules. Both models has been especially designed for communications in high-noise environments, delivering highest audio quality and speech intelligibility. The DT 790 with dynamic microphone (hypercardioid) has been developed to be used by camera men and sound engineers mainly, while the DT 797 with condenser microphone (cardioid) has been developed to be used by commentators in live broadcasting (e.g. sport events) and reporters. Like all headsets from beyerdynamic, the DT 790 and DT 797 are synonyms for robustness and wearing comfort. The modular and service-friendly constructions assure a long product life.
The powerful headphone-systems with a frequency response of 5 Hz – 30 kHz, provide a perfectly balanced sound characteristic. The sound insulating housing and soft-skin ear pads cause superb isolation from ambient noise and the new pivoting goose neck microphone boom makes sure the dynamic microphone can always be optimally adjusted into any required position. The microphone boom can be used at left or right side or can be moved into standby (upper) position. The single-sided cable is available with different connectors which allow all necessary connections.
